Vetpak Super Concentrate
Indications
Vetsan Super Concentrate is a sanitiser based on stabilised chlorine dioxide, a powerful oxidising agent effective against a wide range of organic matter. When activated, chlorine dioxide works to eliminate contaminants and neutralise odours by binding to negatively charged odour molecules.
It has broad virucidal and biocidal activity and is also effective against algae and some fungi. It works by disrupting the cell membranes of microorganisms, making it effective on contact. Its breakdown products are non-toxic and non-carcinogenic.
Vetsan is active against key pathogenic microorganisms associated with calf scours, including:
-
Rotavirus
-
Cryptosporidia
-
Salmonella
-
E. coli
-
Coronavirus
-
Mycoplasma bovis
Ingredients
Stabilised chlorine dioxide 2500 mg/L (sodium chlorite, sodium bicarbonate), sorbitan mono-oleate.
Dilution Rates
100 ppm Solution
-
200 ml + 4.8 L water = 5 L total
-
400 ml + 9.6 L water = 10 L total
-
800 ml + 19.2 L water = 20 L total
-
1.6 L + 38.4 L water = 40 L total
250 ppm Solution
-
500 ml + 4.5 L water = 5 L total
-
1 L + 9.0 L water = 10 L total
-
2 L + 18.0 L water = 20 L total
-
4 L + 36.0 L water = 40 L total
-
5 L + 45.0 L water = 50 L total
Directions for Use
-
Preparation:
Clean heavily contaminated surfaces with water to remove organic matter before application. -
Before housing animals:
Spray all surfaces with a 250 ppm solution. -
During use (ongoing prevention):
Spray pens and surrounding areas weekly using a 100 ppm solution to help prevent the build-up of harmful microorganisms. -
When animals are present:
Remove animals from the area, apply a 100 ppm solution using a fine spray, and allow surfaces to dry for approximately 30 minutes before returning animals. -
Application guidelines:
-
Apply at approximately 1 litre per 36 m²
-
Full saturation is not required
-
Reapply every 7–10 days for best results
-
Residual activity lasts approximately 7–14 days
-
Safety Information
-
Avoid spraying directly onto animals, particularly the face
-
Do not inhale spray mist
-
Wear appropriate protective equipment during application
